It’s okay to sit in your hotel room, across the street from the Tower/Palace/Mountain Eiffel and decide … Today is sitting in my room and ordering extraordinary pepperoni pizza and eradicating TV shows.
You are traveling to relax, not to run marathon “How much can I follow”.
Two things:
1) Create a photocopy of your passport color to carry with you and leave the original on your hotel safe
2) Learn a few simple words in the local language. Hello, goodbye, thank you, at least. This will be very helpful for you
If you are in a country where you don’t speak language and maybe take a taxi, ask your hotel staff to record sound memos on your cellphone that explains how to return to the hotel. Then just play for your taxi driver. Or use this strategy to order allergies to play in restaurants, or basically any message you can anticipate.
I always take some sandwich bags. There is always a half -eaten cake, or residue -suse, etc. when you come out. That way I can put it in my bag for later
Set your watch and phone to the arrival time zone after you are on the plane. Flights around this time zone whether it means taking sleep pills or drinking caffeine, you will avoid jet lag like champions.
Brushing teeth is the fastest way to feel humans again after a long flight. Prepare toothpaste and brush so you can do this before leaving the airport.
Always schedule a quiet day after you arrive, especially if you get out of a long flight, jet-lag is a real thing
And always have free day in your travel plan for weather events, or just things you find when you are there
Carry more than one credit/debit card
Try finding flights in the original language of the airline. I once saved $ 700 while ordering tickets for a trip to Peru using Spanish rather than English.
If you need to defecate in the city center, look for a public library and enter with confidence. Library toilets tend to be much cleaner than those in other public buildings and free.
In the EU and Britain, bring about one dollar / euro’s worth in change, because some public toilets charge fees.
If I go to a faint country, I bring a fake wallet. I have expired the SIM and credit card in it and at the beginning of the day I put the amount of cash that I expected to spend that day in it and only that. If I was robbed, they would not spend time checking out the expiration date and they would not get all my money. I keep the remaining cash and my functional credit card elsewhere for me.
What is available offline from Google is crazy. Download offline maps on Google Maps for an area help you navigate whether you have cellular services or traveling with aircraft mode. If in the WA State Language barriers, you can download the language on Google Translate to be used offline, and even though you may not have deep intellectual chat, you can survive with basics such as food, bathrooms, etc. Very helpful in countries with different letters, because you can scan the photos you take or play hard phrases for someone who helps you, because you can scan photos or rotate hard for someone who helps you to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone to help someone someone to help someone or play hard, because you can have
When getting a local currency from an ATM, use a strange number of dollars to get smaller bills. So if I need 2000 and the engine that is discarded at the age of 20s, I will pull 1980 so I will get a variety of bills that are smaller than large bills that no one will violate me.
Also, I will always carry a stick after a bite for anywhere that has a mosquito. You will get a little at least even if you are good with a repellent and it will itch like hell. Stick after the bite helps less it.
When traveling from the path that is beaten where personal safety is less certain (basically wherever you should not come out at night) carry at least $ 50 to $ 100 in cash in the pocket separate from money/cards/etc. That’s enough to provide the potential of a warm attacker about warm achievements, so they will let you go.
I have one that will not help everyone, but hopefully comfortable for some people.
I am one of the people with light coffee addiction, where if I don’t have at least one cup at 11 am I time, I develop a split headache or migraine. On a busy trip where I don’t have time to stop drinking coffee, it can be sad.
So, I always travel with a box of Espresso Clif sticks to stick to my bag or, if I am really tight in space, excedrin. One excedrin dose has 65mg of caffeine, almost as much as coffee. So it’s like drinking a bottle of coffee 50 cups when I lack time
May not be recommended for everyone but that really helps me
Edit: It’s just not a fan of the instant coffee that I try, and Excedrin is double functioning as part of my medicine kit to travel (although I prefer the espresso trunk). I have to try the French trip travel !!
Also, while I’m sure people are good intention … I only drink one cup a day, forever. I am only sensitive to caffeine. Requires one cup a day is not really my concern
