Now, let’s see… what are my go-to snacks? To be honest, I don’t snack much during the week. I’m not sure if anyone else is like this, but I actually like feeling hungry before the main meal. It makes them feel like real events!
I look forward to lunch and dinner (not breakfast—I’m never hungry in the morning). And I love that when I finally sit down to eat, it feels like a big event. I even tried hard not to moan every time I took a bite, because that would sound too weird, right?
Snack Time
Even though I usually don’t snack during the week, that all changes when Friday night rolls around. Because that’s when snack time is like Donkey Kong!
Here are some of my favorite savory snacks:
Nuts – I love all nuts, but these Kri Kri nuts from our local fruit shop are especially delicious.
Chips – Salt and vinegar or plain are my favorite.
Cheese – with or without crackers.
Corn Thins – When I feel like I need to pretend it’s a healthier option. Wre they? No, don’t tell me.

Seaweed – Very salty and crunchy. Until two years ago, I avoided seaweed because it was high in iodine and I suffered from thyroid problems. Now that I don’t have a thyroid, I make up for all my mistakes by saying no to seaweed.

My favorite sweet snack:
Cadbury Hazelnut Chocolate – this one is dangerous because I buy blocks of it and it’s so hard to stop at just a few squares.
Snake candy – The green one is my favorite, but I also like the orange one because it reminds me of the candy I used to get as a special gift, given once every few months when I was little.
Peanut M&Ms – Nuts all the way!
Cadbury Flake – crumbly and delicious
Picnic bar – I definitely couldn’t get enough of the food.
Now, I know I said that I don’t snack much during the week, but when my coworker is busy on her casual day, she usually brings me delicious food. He introduced me to some of the best snacks ever, and every time he was called into the office, I knew it was going to be a great day. And no, it’s not just because he’s my snack supplier… haha!
My healthy snacks:
Plain yoghurt with honey and berries
Fruit – Usually grapes when they are in season. Currently, I am enjoying a small mandarin orange that I bought from Woolworths. They reminded me of the ones I saw on our trip to the US, called Cuties.
