There are many impressive historic things that we know there are because of various records and witnesses that can be relied upon, however, cannot track it. The reason can vary from objects that are crushed, spread on the seabed until it is stolen or deliberately hidden during difficult times.
Either way, even hidden from the eyes of ancient treasures remains an important part of world history and these people register things like still missing, answering one redditor question: “What treasure do we know is 100% still not found?”

The tomb of the first Chinese Emperor Qin exists and we know exactly where it is. The only part of the site that has been widely dug for the artifacts is the famous terracotta army.
The Main Tomb itself is still complelely sealed and no attempts have been made to open it since legend that it was filled not only with mountains of treasure inside, but also mechanically operated rivers of flowing mercury made to reuse the major rivers and bodies of water in china and booby traps To protect the Massive Subterranean Complex, which has been measured to be around 1/4th the size of the forbidden city using ground-penetrating radar and other non-invasive techniques.
Apparently archeology and scientists have found a very high level of mercury on the ground around the tomb gave a legitimacy atmosphere to the legend which also raised concerns about the legend of the Booby trap. There are also concerns that we currently do not have technology and knowledge to protect the artifacts that we explore from outside air and contamination, such as how the excavation of the previous terracotta army caused their original colorful paint to be destroyed shortly after being dug.
Edit: Because this comment is very popular, I will add “Heirloom of the Realm” seal which is also known as “Chinese Empire seal”. Physical ownership of objects basically legitimizes the mandate claims of heaven and thus rule over China. It was made in 221 BC, passing through various emperors and factions until around 1500-1000 years ago. There are several theories about how, when, and where it is gone but we might never get an answer except some farmers happen to stumble on a large round of round of complicated jade in several fields and realize what it is.
Lost Faberge eggs. There are about seven that are still missing, and only the remaining black and white photos of some of them, along with their description.
Some have mentioned the tomb of Jenghis Khan, but I am more interested in the banner of his black spirit that lasted until the 1960s before disappearing under the Soviet control over Mongolia.
The black spirit banner is made of dark horse hair and brought by Khan to the battle and displayed during the war. Similar to the myth that surrounds the spear of destiny, said the Mongolian fighters will always win in the battle as long as they have banners. After the Soviet Union took the De facto control over the country in the 1950s, banners were held at government offices until they were lost around the 70s.
The book “Jenghis Khan and The Making of the Modern World” by Jack Weatherford is a good reading if you are interested in learning more about the history of Khan and its impact on our world today.
“Amber Room (Russia: я тар комak, TR. Yantarnaya Komnata, Germany: Bernsteinzimmer) is a room decorated with a yellow panel supported by gold and mirror leaves, located in the Catherine Palace from Tsarskoye Selo near Saint Petersburg”

Instead of not being found, but a forbidden rational vow (Bronang B) in Padmanabhaswamy Temple in India remains unlocked and is considered to contain treasure up to a wealth of US $ one trillion. Another warehouse opened there was found containing an 18 ‘gold chain, a pile of solid gold weighing 500kg and pure pure gold mahavishnu idol as high as three and a half feet, hundreds of diamonds and rubi and other precious stones.
The reason they did not open Vault B? That was said to be condemned.
Almost all Homo erectus pekinensis remains. They were packed during World War II with the intention of sending them from China to the US to be secured, but the ship should carry fossils attacked and ran aground. Remember the Christian Viking from Viking: Valhalla? Yes, he is real. After his death, he became a saints and bridge between the Old Norse faith and Christianity.
He was finally laid on a gem decorated with sarcophagus in the Nidaros Cathedral. That is the biggest goal of northern Europe for pilgrims to reform.
When the Norwegian broke up with the Catholic Church, Olavsskrinet – maybe with Olav still in it – disappearing. Buried under the cathedral? Sent to Denmark? No one knows.
When Alexander The Great returned from India who was laden with countless wealth that was looted, he decided to lead his troops through the Gedosian desert, imitating some of the ancient queen who traveled and barely survived, it was a brutal environment. The army was reduced to a slog through hell, moving on an average of only 5-7 miles a day in the middle of an endless and terrible heat hill, a trip ~ 130 miles brought them for almost a month. At least one third of his troops died and his condition became so bad that Alexander closed his eyes and even finally ordered the slaughter of luggage train animals so that their blood could be drunk. Who knows how treasure is lied to forever on the sand hill
