Hello friends, and welcome to Friday Favorites! I shared some highlights from the first week of school holidays – it was fun to fly too fast!

Dinner with friends

We have fun to meet friends for our monthly gatherings at local hospitals. Bistro is usually calm on Monday night, but this time full of large crowds celebrate someone’s special event. They took our usual table, so we finally sat in a long place, which made it more difficult to chat with everyone. I sat next to a friend closest to me in the group, and we followed life. The time was flown, and I realized that we did not have the right conversation at age.

Bistro is under new management, and this is the second time I have tried an updated menu. I was impressed the second time, even though I liked food from the old menu. The portion is very large, and all of them are fresh and full of taste. I have grilled fish with chips and salads.

One of our friends brought a cake to share, which is one of the great things about eating at this RSL – you can bring your own dessert, and they don’t mind. RSL is not my favorite place, but for this kind of casual event, this functions perfectly. The food is tasty and reliable, we always get a table, and it’s never too noisy, so we can talk and hear each other.

Shopping Day

On Tuesday, I met a pleasant shopping queen friend. Every time we go shopping, we seem to have a mission. Sometimes he finds perfect lipstick, sometimes a hat, and at another time of clothes. This time, it was to find new fragrances. Can you know?

This is us at lunch with all our sample cards. In the end, our nose was confused, and we canceled the mission for another time. Keep watching!

Have lunch

Lunch is very tasty! We tried the French braserie named Manon, which was highly recommended by a coworker. I ordered tuna baguette, and that was very delicious, I didn’t expect it to be that good! I like tuna on sandwiches and scrolls, etc., but this baguette is at another level. It has great flavors such as anchovies, onions, dried tomatoes, all sprinkled with Zesty green sauce. The eggs above softened from the big taste. Ho!

I really want to take Baguette and eat it with my hand, but it’s no-no. So I ate it with a knife and a fork instead, which is not easy. I tried to stay classy, ​​but I felt like George Costanza ate Bar Snickers with cutlery. Have you ever seen that Seinfeld episode? 😂

My friend ordered Escargot and kindly offered me. I like to think I can eat almost all things – even stones – but I haven’t arrived there when I come to snail. I’ve heard them very delicious, so maybe one day.

Hot chocolate

Then I ordered thick hot brown, which, according to Instagram, was That The best hot chocolate ever. As inside, “Don’t leave a manon without trying it.”
Umm … not for me.

It’s thick-like ganache-on-a-cake. I added a little cream … and I was quite sure that my arteries began to harden as soon as I tasted it.

I might have risked the coronary if it tastes extraordinary, but the hot chocolate of Swiss milk that I have at home is much better. So I have some sip and leave the rest, which is not like me. I usually polish everything.

It’s okay – a great baguette, and I’m glad I tried hot chocolate.

Bright paths

Wednesday is a lazy day, and very bright! After doing several tasks around the house, I walked. Geez, I can’t tell you how nice it is to do tasks during the daytime instead of rushing to finish before or after work. I enjoy it!

I took a walk quickly, for hours, and though bright, I didn’t feel warm for about 30 minutes. On the road, I passed the fruit shop and took some apples because suddenly I began to crave smoothie.

When I got home, I made a green smoothie. It looks like a peas soup, and you should see my husband’s face when I offered him a taste. But it’s delicious!

I laughed when I checked my steps after walking – 9999 steps! Only one short step 10,000. Miss it That Lots!

I was destined to go out with another beautiful friend today, but I woke up with a painful neck and a headache. So, we reschedule for Sundays. We plan to visit the Kirribilli Market, and the weather forecast promises a sunny 20ºC. I can not wait!

And it’s a wrap for this week’s favorite. And just like that, the first week of school holidays is over … Waaaahhhh! I hope that next week it will pass at a snail speed. Fingers cross!
