Hi friends, welcome to Friday Favorites! It’s time to connect with Andrea and Erika and share a few favorite moments this week.
The first day ago
Monday was our first day at work, starting with a staff development session followed by a staff meeting. It’s great to see my work colleagues again – even if it’s hard to say goodbye on lazy school holidays at home.
Two hours of that day, I turned to one of my beautiful colleagues and said, “I’m tired.” He laughed and said, “I want to read it on your blog.” So here it is – Gotta remains real. Do I complain? Yes, I am sure!
Funny how tired you can feel sitting all day. In most of the days when I stood up, I could hardly wait for the opportunity to sit. But there I was on the day of development, hoping I could move – my feet were very nervous, and my back was stiff. Ooops, five days later and I still complained of time to stop now. 😅
Morning tea and lunch are provided, and food always makes things better, right?

Dinner and movies
Tuesday night, Steve and I went to dinner and movies. We could not stop back to Lilong – an extraordinary Chinese restaurant located near the cinema.
The food is too good!
Pork bread, Singapore noodles and beef with oyster sauce.

We went to see SupermanAnd even though I was excited to go and see it after watching the trailer, I couldn’t say I liked it. I don’t think there is a remake that has topped the 1980s version with Christopher Reeve.
Sweet surprise
When we walked home, we stopped at McDonald’s to get soft service with flakes, and I got the best surprise – I was served by a former preschool child who was now good and really teenager. I immediately recognized a big smile – just like when he was a child.
He also remembers me, and I am proud of myself because remembering his name, which is very impressive considering I often forget what I walk to a room.

Night tea routine
We always end the night with a cup of tea and watch something on TV. Instead of ordinary tea, I made tea in a teapot using English breakfast leaves. I brewed it extra strongly how I liked it-and it felt quite luxurious to pour it from my IKEA teapot which wasn’t so fun. Ha ha!

We enjoyed our tea with a few homemade biscuits – Macadamia with lemon peel, and they were amazing. Thank you, Chef Steve! It’s fun to have something to look forward to every day – even small things like night tea and our TV program routine.
Currently watching
We have started a new series named Agency: Central Intelligence In Paramount. It starts slowly but is building with the right amount of intrigue, and now we are addicted. I think it’s hard to find a limited series of limited series lately. There is a recommendation?
Geez, the first week again made me feel all kinds of tired – and confused! Today, I told me one of my colleagues, “I’m glad the second week is over.” Then I remember – only the first week!
There is no weekend plan for me, so it looks like this will be calm. Hopefully you all experience a relaxed weekend.
Thank you very much for stopping by! 😊
