Happy Friday, friends! I ended the week by sharing a few things that made it feel brighter. Here are this week’s favorites.
A Little Joy
These lollipops brought me so much joy the other day! I was craving something sweet and found this little treasure in my work bag. It was a Halloween treat from my fun and treat-giving friend and colleague that I told you about before. He is the savior of appetite. So glad I purposely had it in my bag on days when I really needed sugar.
Products I Like

You know, when you wish you could go back in time? That’s me, every time I see the little bottle of room spray from the Hearth & Hand line with Magnolia that I bought in LA. Why oh why did I just buy ONE? What was I thinking?
In my defense, this was only the second day of the trip and I didn’t want to overload my suitcase too early. We were at Glendale Mall, I walked into Target, and nearly lost my mind when I saw a Magnolia line I had only seen on Instagram.
The aroma was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. It’s grapefruit and it smells fresh, warm, slightly fruity, and I really like it. Every time I spray it, I immediately feel like I’m back in the aisles of Glendale Target. This room spray is basically my LA trip in a bottle. Luckily, my traveling cousin recently came back from Ohio and brought me another one, so I rationed it like liquid gold.
Favorite Moment
My aunt had an early Christmas get-together last weekend, and you’ll see her house decorated for Christmas. This is AMAZING! I shared some photos on my Instagram if you want to see them. My Christmas spirit was a little dim this year, but after seeing the place, I think my spirits are reignited. I love how much my aunt loves Christmas, and I love it too, but for some reason, until last weekend, I hadn’t really gotten into it.
We enjoyed a delicious charcuterie board followed by dinner, and by the time we got to dessert, we barely had room. After dinner, some of the cousins went to a Metallica concert, and we all listened to music and painted Christmas rocks. We used cute kits my aunt bought that were meant for kids, which were perfect for us “big kids”. It comes with Christmas themed paint and instructions. Do you like my Santa rocks? Ha ha.

I felt more excited now, especially after we started planning our Christmas Eve get-together that night. Since then, my aunt has sent me lots of Instagram videos on how to decorate for Christmas, which has also been very helpful.
Something I Learned
I love Canva and have a paid version, which I use for this blog as well as for preschool resources and other preschool-related projects. I’m still discovering all the amazing things you can do on this app.
I’ve been trying to figure out how to make things like end of year certificates in bulk for preschoolers. I Can type each name one by one. But I think, since we do this certification every year, it would be a very useful skill to know.
I also started working on children’s Christmas cards using Canva at work today, but I’m not completely satisfied with them yet. Once I start, I can’t stop because I want everything to be perfect. I really need to calm down!
Fun Outing
Steve and I went to IKEA yesterday to “figure out” how to get a replacement light for the oven we bought about four years ago. Haha, I could have easily found this info online or over the phone, but I completely agree with him that this is better done in person. 😉
It was fun wandering around, and very quiet for a Thursday night. The best part was the Christmas section, where I bought some wrapping paper, cards, Christmas scented candles, VINTERSAGA fruit drinks, and big star lights for our windows. Oh yeah, and we also bought frozen meatballs. You can never leave IKEA without its meatballs.

Something I’m Looking Forward To
Tomorrow the Danish Christmas market will be held, and I will go with a group of friends. It’s a tradition now, and something I look forward to every year. I’m sure the market will give me a big boost of Christmas spirit!
What are you doing this weekend? I hope you can enjoy a little festive fun too. Thanks so much for stopping by.
