Hi friends, and welcome to the bright semi -spring weekend recap. I am very happy you stop by!
Saturday
It was my father’s day last Sunday, but we could not celebrate together. So this weekend we have a late father’s day. Our eldest son Luke came, and it was fun for lunch and pursuing miss. We did not see as much as we wanted, with work for us, studying for Sam, the youngest, and a 40 to 50 minute trip needed to come.
By the way, happy to see it and hear everything about what happened in the world. I have mentioned beforehand that I avoid news in any way. Of course, things that eventually flow to me, and I find out what is happening. But most of them, I’m more than happy, don’t know too much because it gives me a lot of anxiety.
Luke is our fact, and I don’t mind hearing what he should share. He has a way to explain things very clearly, and now all my fears are justified perfectly. Good grief!
We spent the afternoon of speaking and eating. For lunch, Steve makes grilled sheep slow. Yep, now he even cooks for his own celebration! 😂
For the dessert, we have a princess cake that we have in the freezer from one of our trips to IKEA. I am very happy they bring these cakes back after becoming Mia for three or four years.

Sunday
That week is like That Perfect spring day. With all the rain that we experienced over the past few weeks, the land in our front garden is good and loose, so Steve is able to remove the old lavender bush. It was beautiful when flowering once a year, but most of the time was woody and thin.
So I traveled to Bunnings to take some colorful flowers to be planted in its place, and when I got there, it was very busy, full of gardeners inspired by spring.

I also bought some mixture of seeds and wet the seeds because I have an idea for preschool crafts this week. We will make the grass head! I composed this picture in Canva so that children will know what I was talking about when I explained it to them.

This must be a fun activity that is perfectly related to learning about spring and plant life cycle. Let’s hope Miss Ruth, Non-Gardener, can do it. Fingers cross!
Back to the afternoon I plant. This time, before I went to buy random plants, I did a little research and took Petunias, Violas and Alyssum. According to Google, I even found a way to plant it, how far the distance for their space, and what to happen behind, middle and front.

Now I just have to take care of them. Good exercise before we do the head of grass with preschool children.
And because I was sad to see our lavender bush leave, I finally bought a lavender factory. This time I will save it in a pot.

I also bought jasmine plants. Wondering how long I have to wait for a sweet smell of flowers to grow?

And that is a warm and bright spring weekend. I know the best hasn’t come, with more bright days in front. I am very excited for summer. That is, until I found the first giant cockroach this season and began to think maybe winter wasn’t too bad. There are no dirty insects in winter!
Happy Monday!
