The things I enjoy about winter-from non-cold lover

A few days of rain, windy, dark … and only froze. I don’t like it, but every time I start to spin into a dramatic thought – like, “That’s all. It’s been four weeks, one day, 18 hours and 39 minutes from the start of winter, and I can’t stand it anymore!”—I try to catch myself, turn it around, and squeeze some positive things. I mean, there must be things to enjoy about winter … right?

So this season, I have set goals: for ( embrace winter.
By remembering that, today I share seven things that I like. Wait – no. Seven things I like. Actually … let’s go with enjoy. It feels like a safe middle ground between love and likes, and far, far from hatred. Do you disagree?

There are no insects, anywhere!

Yes, too cold even for bugs – so it’s a big bonus. I am afraid of anything that crawls. Ladybugs and ants are acceptable, but something bigger and I get out of there!

It’s no secret that I like summer days – but when giant cockroaches across my path, the first thing I think is, Okay, maybe winter isn’t too bad. We have a place that is sprayed for insects, so I’m quite safe at home. But there is always one type of terminator cockroach that takes the slogan “I will be back” Too serious – shudder.

Warm lights

As you know, unfortunately, winter means shorter days, and start dark around 5:30 pm. But the positive side is that I can illuminate all beautiful tealight and turn on the lights. I also like to burn fragrant candles, along with the simple white one I bought in box 20 from Ikea. The house feels very comfortable with all the warm and flickering light.

Scandinavia people really know what they are doing when they come to survive, long and dark winter. I like to take leaves from them Hygge Manual and make the house feel warm, comfortable and shine with soft lighting.

Hot drink

I usually a tea drinker at night, but in winter I like to mix a little. Sometimes I will have a cup of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate because this is the best!

A comfortable throw

I kept a basket of the cover of the lounge room, and we all like to use it when we curled up watching TV.

We also have a throw in the lounge, but we don’t use it – they belong to Mochi, our cat, who likes to chew it. He is very naughty … funny but naughty.

Soothing food

I think I can eat soothing food throughout the year because it is very delicious, but I really like it when it’s cold. We have eaten soup lately – correction, I’ve eaten soup. My family doesn’t like soup (I can’t understand this!), But they like others.

So we have all enjoyed things like casserole, roast pots, pai cottages, lasagna, and roasted with sauce – always a lot and lots of delicious sauce. Mmmm, I’m starving again.

Winter fashion

Okay, I have to give it to winter mode. Even a cold non-seasonal lover like I have to admit it is one of the things I enjoy the most about winter.

As soon as I passed the surprise to peel my pajamas in our cold bedroom to wear something a little more interesting, I like to play with a layer – mixing and matching jumpers, scarves, and suitable boots. There is only something quite elegant about the bundle in a classic coat.

Sometimes I wonder if I can escape by wearing pajamas all day, as long as I add a coat and scarf that is full of style. Probably not. Oh okay. Winter must win to dress class.

Movie marathon and watching parties

Winter is the perfect reason to stay in and enjoy a marathon movie or a favorite party, reduced guilt. I mean, what else can you do when you are too cold and miserable to go anywhere except really needed?

Yep, I like to wrap myself on the sofa and zoning when cold outside. Plus, snacks. Always snacks.

Wow, I am proud of myself. To be honest I don’t think I will come with one! When I started this post, I thought, “Why do I bother? I don’t like winter at all.” But these seven reasons are directly from my heart, and now I am ready to pull out whenever I need a little reminder. I am trying to exchange complaints with a little gratitude here – Brrrrr!
